Protect Vaccine Choice in Kentucky

The Kentucky legislature is considering a bill, HB 147, that would mandate certain vaccines for college students.

Parents have a right to make their own decisions about treatments for their children based on informed consent. Limiting a patient’s ability to make informed decisions about what gets put into their body violates medical ethics.

Write to your representative and urge him or her to oppose HB 147.

Please oppose HB 147

Dear [Decision Maker],

I understand the legislature is considering a bill, HB 147, that will mandate certain vaccines for college students.

Parents have a right to make their own decisions about treatments for their children based on informed consent. Limiting a patient's ability to make informed decisions about what gets put into his or her body violates medical ethics.

Many parents are concerned that some vaccines are unsafe because they may contain harmful ingredients like mercury or aluminum. A study published in Current Medical Chemistry in 2011 stated that the use of aluminum in vaccines is concerning because "aluminum presented in this form carries a risk for autoimmunity, long-term brain inflammation and associated neurological complications and may thus have profound and widespread adverse health consequences."

I urge you to oppose HB 147 and any legislation that mandates vaccines or removes exemptions.

Sincerely,
