Tell Congress: Support Nutritional Medicine for COVID-19

A large analysis has found that antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine had no benefit for COVID patients, causing more deaths than standard care. The AIDs drug remdesivir is showing no benefit. Other pharmaceutical treatments are also turning out to be useless. Emerging evidence suggests that natural medicines like zinc, quercetin, and potassium could help, sometimes in conjunction with drugs, but the government refuses to acknowledge these benefits because nutrients aren’t as profitable for drug companies.

Write to Congress, urging them to learn more about natural COVID-19 solutions and how our present system is blocking them.

Potassium, Zinc, and COVID-19

Why are many people exposed to Coronavirus without symptoms, others sicken and recover in a week, while others get better and then spiral downward after a week?

One answer may lie in potassium levels. It is known that big viruses rapidly exhaust potassium levels which can be fatal. A Chinese study has confirmed this for Covid-19. Zinc, Quercetin and other nutrients also appear to be very important.  Unfortunately, our medical system is not well equipped to practice nutritional medicine.

Natural medicine has a substantial role in protecting the health of Americans during, and beyond, this pandemic--but the federal government, particularly the FDA, undermines our access to natural medicine in many ways.

The Alliance for Natural Health USA, of which I am a member, is the largest organization in the United States seeking to educate public officials and the general public about the benefits of natural medicine and, currently, the potential role of specific nutrients during a pandemic. We have a network of thousands of nutritionally oriented four-year trained physicians including MDs and DOs, as well as a large public following made up of constituents across the US and people across the world.
