New York Action Alert on Immunizations

The New York State Assembly is currently considering three different immunization bills.

Two of them are just bad bills: one would require all children born after 1/1/96 to be vaccinated against the human papillomavirus (HPV). This is neither a safe nor a necessary vaccine. The other would require meningococcal vaccinations for 7th graders and college students.

Another bill would actually add a vaccination exemption on the basis of philosophical beliefs.

Please contact your state legislators and express your opinions about these three bills!
