Here is our story:

At 18 months, we noticed that our Temperance, was not hitting all of her developmental milestones. We went in to dig deeper with her pediatrician, and they quickly suspected an Autism diagnosis was in our future. This meant a long road ahead of us, and uncharted medical territories for our family. It was daunting and scary, but we are forever grateful for our care team.

Starting when she was 4 years old, Tempe started receiving therapies, including ABA, occupational, and speech through Autism programs. Not only did they help with daily tasks, but they are the reason Tempe is doing so well. She still goes to the Autism center daily, and loves her time there! 

Not only do they provide therapy, but they support families. We have been treated like friends, not just “patients.”

Tempe is doing great in school, accomplishing new personal goals, and thriving in all aspects of life! She is the happiest person on the planet, and we love to watch her learn, grow. 

Last year, our lives were drastically changed with the loss of my mom, and Tempe’s Nana. She found so much joy in Tempe’s accomplishments, and was one of Tempe’s biggest cheerleaders. Now more than ever, we are celebrating every moment and holding each other close.
