Team Theo is back in action for the 2024 Autism Hero Walk: Detroit! on September 21 at the Detroit Zoo supporting the Autism Alliance of Michigan!

We were so humbled and grateful for the support from family and friends for Team Theo in 2023 and are hopeful to continue to grow in 2024!

Our Theo was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in 2022. He works incredibly hard each day to learn skills that develop naturally for most kids and maintains a full schedule of ABA, speech and occupational therapies (his team is truly amazing and we are so thankful for each of the professionals he works with that have taught all of us so much!)

Despite the challenges that autism can bring, Theo is kind hearted, affectionate, curious, determined and filled with pure joy. He loves puzzles, books, Cars, swimming, climbing and just being outside. He has shown us the beauty in the little moments and how to celebrate all the small (but mighty!) wins in life. We are more compassionate, patient and open-hearted people because of him and we are blessed to be his parents.

Our dream for Theo is for him to grow up in a world with both more acceptance and opportunities for the autism community. Organizations like Autism Alliance of Michigan help provide resources to do just that and we are proud and excited to support them.
