Message

Dear [Decision Maker],

This week, my fellow volunteers from the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) are visiting your office in Washington, D.C., to ask for your support on important cancer issues. As one of your constituents, I wanted you to know those volunteers are not alone, but are speaking for thousands of people in your district who believe passionately that Congress should make fighting cancer a national priority.

As active volunteers and constituents, we ask that you please:

- Support a $2 billion increase for the National Institutes of Health for a total of $36 billion, including an increase of $300 million for the National Cancer Institute, for a total of $6 billion, in FY 2018

- Cosponsor S.693, the Palliative Care and Hospice Education Training Act.

- Cosponsor (if you haven't already) S.479, the Removing Barriers to Colorectal Screening Act

Sincerely,
