Welcome to Shalom Rubanowitz's Fundraising Page!
As Rabbi at the Shul on the Beach in Venice, California, I am often asked: “what unique thing can I do to take part in the support of the state of Israel, the land of Israel, and the People of Israel?
Well I am proud, eager and thoroughly enthused to share with you my newest personal and Charitable venture: riding in the 2018 ALYN CHARITY BIKE RIDE. This is a five day bike ride through the South of Israel taking place please g-d, at the end of October, 2018, with approximately 400 participants all striving to raise support for Israel’s acclaimed ALYN Pediatric hospital.
I finally have a chance to ride up and down the “Shul on the Beach’s bike path (Malibu to Palos Verdes) preparing for one of the greatest Mitzvahs-taking part in saving lives, and healing the bodies and souls of the precious children of ALYN.
I urge you to do whatever you can to help this truly wonderful-and necessary institution by sponsoring/funding my participation in the ride, in any measure, and support this bastion of care, love and dedication to the children of Eretz Yisrael.
You can also JOIN me on the ride-which would be a double Mitzvah as you encourage others to give and participate.
BONUS to you beautiful singles out there: this year ALYN is making special arrangements to provide opportunities for single riders to connect and meet during this truly bonding experience through various events before during and after the ride. What better way to meet people than through helping others in such a healthy way, and in such a spiritual environment?
MAY YOUR SUPPORT IN WHATEVER SHAPE OR FORM YOU CAN OFFER (including your simple good wishes) RETURN TO YOU WITHOUT LIMIT IN HEALTH AND TRUE HAPPINESS
READ ON TO LEARN MORE ABOUT ALYN:
ALYN is a world leader in pediatric rehabilitation and they truly make both magic and miracles. I am proud to be a part of their annual charity ride benefitting the brave children who are referred to ALYN seeking help for the entire range of orthopedic and medical conditions that require physitcal rehabilitation. The money raised on this ride helps bridge the ever-growing gap between what is needed and what the government and health insurace are willing to help out. Since the Ministry of Health recently ruled staffs must be increased their costs are going up. And because there isn't automatic government funding and insurance companies have reduced reimbursements, ALYN Hospital depends on donations to meet an ever-rising shortfall in funding.
