Welcome to Richard Inwood's Fundraising Page!
As many of you know, I have devoted my entire medical career saving the lives of hospitalized neonates and infants; I also spent 2 years, 1978-1980, as the first neonatologist at the new Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. Many of these survivors face years of ongoing rehabilitation. Their care is best served in a rehab hospital that specializes in children.
In a few weeks, Sandy and I will be hiking for 5 days in and around Jerusalem to support the ALYN Hospital annual fund raiser. ALYN Hospital, a pediatric rehabilitation center in Jerusalem, is a world leader in the diagnosis and treatment of children who have physical and neuromuscular disabilities, both congenital and acquired. Its mission is to empower all children to reach a level of mobility and hopefully independence.
A paralyzed Christopher Reed visited ALYN in 2003 to learn about their work in stem research in regard to spinal cord injuries. In 2010, ALYN Hospital sent a team to Haiti with a focus on children with amputations. These are but a few examples of the philosophy, outreach and commitment of ALYN Hospital.
We hope you agree with us that this is a mission worthy of your support and you are just as inspired by these incredible kids. Please be as generous as you can be in helping kids reach their maximum potential. ALYN Hospital depends on donations to meet the ever-rising costs of sophisticated medical care.
