--The Stratford Hall team proudly stands as a beacon of commitment and action in the battle against global poverty. For most of the last decade, our students and teachers at Stratford Hall have actively participated in the World Partnership Walk, not just upholding but living the IB principles of being responsible global citizens. For several years, our enthusiastic students have had the privilege of singing the National Anthem to commence the walk, an honor for being the leading school fundraisers within British Columbia.

Our participation extends beyond just a few committed students within the school.  It has historically been a whole community effort that includes a broad range of students, parents, teachers, principals, administrative staff, and even past Heads of School. This collective participation underscores our deep commitment to addressing critical global issues such as food insecurity, health access, and women's rights in some of the world's most impoverished countries. 

The funds raised through our efforts go directly to supporting communities based on their socio-economic needs, without any religious discrimination, embodying our belief in equitable aid and the power of education to foster significant change. 

At Stratford Hall, we don’t just teach global citizenship, we embody it, as we strive to make a tangible difference in the global fight against poverty.

An initiative of Aga Khan Foundation Canada (AKFC), World Partnership Walk is Canada’s largest movement dedicated to raising funds and increasing awareness to fight global poverty.  

More than 700 million people live in extreme poverty (on less than $2.15 USD a day).
