Your Voice Was Heard!

UPDATE: Congress heard our voices! Both the U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives want to increase funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by over $1 billion in Fiscal Year 2017. Please share your voice today and let your Members of Congress in Washington know that you support funding the National Institutes of Health at $34.5 billion so there can be better early detection, improved treatments and more hope for people with lung cancer.

On March 16, LUNG FORCE Heroes – those impacted by lung cancer, including lung cancer survivors, caregivers and other loved ones, met with 100 Senators and more than 80 members of Congress. And nationwide, other LUNG FORCE Heroes and all of us who support them echoed their voices – amplifying their message that Congress must increase federal research funding so there can be better early detection and improved treatments for lung cancer.

Send a letter to your senators and representative to tell them you support $34.5 billion for lifesaving research at the National Institutes of Health.

Lung cancer touches so many families. Investing in research at the National Institutes of Health will lead to better early detection, improved treatments, longer survival, and new hope for those facing lung cancer.

Please join us today in once again telling Congress: in order to defeat lung cancer, please support increasing the National Institutes of Health budget to $34.5 billion for Fiscal Year 2017.
