Tell EPA: Don't Roll Back the Clean Power Plan

Power plants pollution can be deadly. Not only do power plants emit pollutants that directly harm health, they are one of the largest sources of carbon pollution in the nation, which drives climate change. Climate change leads to warmer temperatures and wildfires, increasing smog formation and particle pollution that cause asthma attacks and premature deaths. That’s why it is so alarming that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed to revoke the Clean Power Plan — our nation’s first ever federal limits on carbon pollution from power plants.

The Clean Power Plan is a critical health safeguard that would limit dangerous pollution from power plants. By the EPA’s own analysis, revoking the Clean Power Plan will increase deadly sulfur dioxide pollution from power plants by 45%, and allow 4,500 premature deaths each year that could be prevented simply by implementing the Clean Power Plan.

Please help fight this dangerous proposal to revoke the Clean Power Plan by joining with health advocates all across the country to send a comment to EPA.

Personalizing your message to EPA helps them know that you are a unique individual opposed to revoking the Clean Power Plan. Consider the following as you update the message to EPA in the opening paragraph below:
•Why is healthy air and action to address power plant carbon pollution important to you?
•Do you have asthma or heart disease?
•Do you have a loved one with asthma or heart disease?
•Are you a parent or grandparent concerned about the health of your child(ren) or grandchild(ren)?
•Are you concerned about the health of an older adult in your family?
