Thanks to our supporters, bill HB 626 passed through Maryland’s House of Delegates! Now the bill is moving to the next step and being considered by the Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee.

If you live in Maryland, you can speak out again and tell your Senator to support HB 626.

We are happy to say that HB 626 has moved forward and is now with the Maryland House of Delegates for a third reading and a vote. Please take action again and tell your legislators to vote YES on the bill.

Maryland can do more to ensure the well-being of animals in its shelters.The Maryland House Environment and Transportation Committee is considering a bill, HB 626, which would give the Department of Agriculture the authority to enforce basic humane standards of care in public shelters. Let your legislators know that this bill has your support today.
