Good News! Sponsor Withdraws Harmful New Jersey Bill!

Our voices were heard! We are happy to report that the sponsor is withdrawing New Jersey Assembly Bill 3825. Thank you to everyone who took action, to your New Jersey Assemblymembers for listening to your emails and calls, and to the sponsor for withdrawing the bill.

Alley Cat Allies was very concerned about the bill, because it would have ended the requirement that pounds and shelters hold cats and dogs for at least seven days to allow owners to reclaim their pets. If this bill had become law, it would have put all cats at risk.
