Stop the Killing

Seven out of 10 cats that go into animal pounds and shelters in the U.S. are killed there. In fact, that’s the number one documented cause of death for cats in this country.

It’s even worse for outdoor cats—virtually 100% of these cats are killed upon entering an animal shelter.

Yet an overwhelming majority of Americans believe it is more humane to leave a cat outside than to have her caught and killed, according to a 2007 study conducted by Harris Interactive for Alley Cat Allies.

Alley Cat Allies is calling for an end to the killing, but in order to make a difference and save cats’ lives, we need as many people as possible to take a stand.

Add your name today to join the movement and help stop the killing. We can save lives, but only with your help.
