Ask Your Members of Congress to Join the Nursing Caucus!

Get Your Representative to Join the House Nursing Caucus!!

Congresswoman Lois Capps (D-CA) and Congressman David Joyce (R-OH) have come together to chair the House Nursing Caucus for the 113th Congress. The Caucus provides an excellent, non-partisan forum for the discussion of issues that impact the nursing profession, and helps members of Congress who care about these issues to come together to address them. Additionally, the Nursing Caucus will allow members of Congress an open forum to address issues affecting the nursing community. It will also serve as a clearinghouse for information and a sounding board for ideas brought forth by the nursing community.

Dear [Decision Maker],

The nation's 3.1 million registered nurses (RNs) are the primary source of care and support for patients at the most vulnerable points in their lives. Nearly every person's health care experience involves a RN. As a result, a sufficient supply of nurses is critical in providing our nation's population with quality health care. Nurses are expected to play an even larger role in the future.

I urge you to contact Representative Capps at 225-3601 or Representative Joyce at 225-5731 to join the House Nursing Caucus. I look forward to your reply.
