More than forty years ago, Congressional leaders from both parties wrote and passed the Clean Air Act. This groundbreaking public health law directed the EPA to protect public health from hazardous air pollution. Please take the time to send an email to your members of Congress urging them to oppose any efforts to block or delay the EPA from doing its job to protect all Americans from life-threatening air pollution.
If you take action and have not already registered, you will receive periodic updates and communications from American Public Health Association.
Dear [Decision Maker],
As a constituent and American Public Health Association advocate, I write to urge you to uphold the Clean Air Act and to reject any measure that would block or delay the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from doing its job to protect all Americans from life-threatening air pollution. Several bills have been introduce in the House and Senate that would roll back important public health protections and I urge you to oppose these measures should they come before your committees or to the floor for a vote.
Sincerely,[Your Name] [Your Address] [City, State ZIP]
