Each day, roughly 10 North Carolina families have a child diagnosed with a form of autism. In 2004, that family was ours with Brandon's diagnosis of Asperger's. We we immediately told all the things he would never do, but Brandon never listened. Each year we watched as Brandon attempted and succeeded with the impossible. It is our HOPE that others will be inspired by Brandon's story and achieve the same success.
Proceeds from the Run Walk for Autism will fund local programs of the Autism Society of North Carolina (ASNC), which serves the over 95,000 families affected by autism in our state.
Please consider making a gift that can:
- make it possible for an Autism Resource Specialist to calm a distressed parent after their child's diagnosis.
- make it possible for parents to take much-needed breaks to care for themselves or another child.
- make it possible for someone with autism to live and work independently.
