Update:
The event was a HUGE success!! We raised a lot of funds for the Alzheimer Society of British Columbia and I nearly achieved the unthinkable in my Memory Marathon!
I attempted to memorize 70 decks of cards, as you know. Memorization took roughly 9.5 hours and recall took over 5 hours. I successfully recalled 68 of the decks perfectly! I made 1 error on deck 5 and another on deck 57. In both cases, I had 2 cards mixed up, so in total I had 4 cards incorrectly placed out of 3640. That's right, I correctly recalled 3636 cards in total!
Thanks to everyone who donated, participated, helped out, or just spread the word.

Below is the original post about the event for context.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society of B.C. I'll be doing so by doing the thing that I do best: memorizing! As a 3x National Memory Sports Champion in Canada, I will be using my skills to demonstrate to everyone what the mind is capable of in an extraordinary feat of memory.
It is estimated that over 70,000 people are living with dementia in B.C. alone. On August 28th, I plan to memorize the correct order of 70 shuffeld decks of playing cards. That's 1 deck for every 1,000 people living with dementia in B.C. I'll be doing this digitally using popular memory sports training software and I'll be streaming it live for the world to see!
Tune in early that morning to twitch.tv/bradenexplosion to watch my all-day memory marathon!
My wife and I have both had loved ones affected by dementia like so many of you have. I'll be using my memory to help raise awareness and funds for the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
