Our team is raising money in support of the Alzheimer Society B.C. Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
The next 1st Tuesday Fundraiser sponsored by the Mex Pub will be July 3rd and feature singer/songwriter Nathan Senner with special guests Blaine Dunaway, Alan Jossul and Bruce Wing. Nathan will be performing in aid of the Alzheimer Society of B.C.
The Alzheimer Society of B.C. is the only provincewide non-profit organization dedicated to helping anyone concerned with or facing dementia have the confidence and skills to maintain quality of life as much as possible. Their vision is a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. Until that day comes, they are working towards a world in which people living with the disease are welcomed, acknowledged and included.
Foodstuff donations will also be accepted and forwarded to the Comox Valley Food Bank.
Nathan Senner is a local musician well known for his moving songs about life and the human condition. Senner has been writing for more than 25 years, has produced and recorded an original CD “Dance in the Moon,” and is currently in the studio at work on his second.
With a style that has been compared to artists like James Taylor, Marc Cohn, and Jim Croce, Senner is a welcomed performer at local music venues, community events and festivals including Vancouver Island Musicfest, and the Island Folk Festival in Duncan. He is a respected songwriter, three-time finalist in the Cowichan Folk guild songwriting competition, and he was nominated for both ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Vocalist of the Year’ at the Vancouver Island Music Awards. “Senner’s music is thoughtful and bittersweet and the humble sincerity of his vocals and sensitive delivery make his music especially meaningful”.
Nathan will be supported by three fine musicians, Blaine Dunaway, violin virtuoso, on violin and chin cello, Alan Jossul, one of the finest guitarists west of the Rockies and Bruce, (B.B.), Wing, bassist extraordinaire.
The evening begins at 7:30 with a warm up set by hosts Scott Lyle and Corey Francis. Nathan and friends will begin at 8 pm.
