Support a Federal Ban on BPA in Kids' Food Products

Support a ban on BPA in kids' feeding productsThe Breast Cancer Fund supports legislative efforts to ban the estrogenic chemical bisphenol A (BPA) from children's feeding products including baby bottles, sippy cups, infant formula and baby food.

Late in 2010, the chemical industry managed to block legislation designed to protect infants and toddlers from BPA in food. Now it's time to redouble our efforts and make our message to Congress crystal clear: our health over chemical industry special interests.

We need your help to reach out to every member of the U.S. Senate on this issue!

Ask Your Senators to Support a Ban on BPA

Please personalize the e-mail below before sending to your U.S. Senators. Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Discuss why a BPA ban is important to you, as someone who has been touched by breast cancer.
  • Discuss why a ban is so important in protecting the most vulnerable population, children, from this toxic chemical.
  • Describe your efforts to avoid BPA in your daily life. A ban on BPA would protect everyone, even those who don't know what BPA is or how to avoid it.
  • Congress must catch up with the states and countries that have already banned BPA. Denmark has banned it from all infant food packaging. Canada declared BPA to be a toxic substance. Even China has proposed regulation of BPA in children's food and drink containers. Legislation to regulate BPA-containing products has been introduced in 30 states and localities.
