Together with our partners in the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, we convinced Johnson & Johnson—one of the largest cosmetics companies in the world—to agree to phase out chemicals linked to cancer and other health problems from its baby AND adult products in 57 countries around the world.

J&J's August 2012 announcement includes all of the company's brands and products, including Aveeno, Neutrogena, Clean & Clear and, of course, the iconic Johnson’s Baby Shampoo.

Not only that, J&J has also set target dates by which these chemicals will be out of products.

What's Next

We're not stopping with Johnson & Johnson.

We're challenging Avon, Estee Lauder (maker of Clinique, MAC and Prescriptives), L’Oreal (Maybelline, Garnier, Kiehl’s, The Body Shop), Procter & Gamble (CoverGirl, Pantene, Secret, Old Spice) and Unilever (Dove, Ponds, St. Ives, Axe) to meet or beat J&J's commitments to getting carcinogens and other toxic chemicals out of their products.
