What are the dates?

Saturday, August 12th and Sunday August 13th, 2023

Is there a fee to participate?

There is no registration fee to participate; we do ask for riders to fundraise a minimum of:

  • $850 per person if you are taking part in the Full Weekend - 200km ride.
  • $700 per person if you are taking part in the 100km or 50km options on Saturday, August 12th.

What are the participation levels?

The Ride offers something for everyone, with a full weekend option that spans 200km over both Saturday and Sunday; 100km, and 50km options available on Saturday, August 12th!

  • Weekend Warrior Cyclist is a participant in The Ride who commits to riding a total of 200km over the course of a full weekend, with a goal of completing 100km per day. This level of participation requires a minimum fundraising commitment of $850 to support lung health research. Being a Weekend Warrior allows you access to our overnight experience – Glamping at Tsawwassen Mills, a one-of-a-kind jersey, event promotional gifts, discounts to vendors, the celebration dinner, and entertainment Saturday/Day 1, as well as the Finale on Sunday/Day 2!

  • Saturday Cruiser is a participant in The Ride who commits to riding a total of 100km on Saturday only. This level of participation requires a minimum $700 fundraising commitment of to support lung health research. For your participation, you’ll receive a one-of-a-kind jersey, entry to our celebration dinner and entertainment, and discounts to vendors!

  •  City Exploreris a participant in The Ride who commits to riding a total of  50km on Saturday only. This level of participation requires a minimum $700 fundraising commitment of to support lung health initiatives. This ride is designed for those who want to explore the city and participate in the event, without committing to a longer ride. For your participation, you’ll receive a one-of-a-kind jersey, entry to our celebration dinner and entertainment, and discounts to vendors!

​Where do I park my car?

There will be parking at Entry 3 of Tsawwassen Mills - 5000 Canoe Pass Wy, Tsawwassen, BC V4M 0B3

What if I can’t ride the full 200km?

We’ve created various options for participants of all levels. This year we will have:

  • 100km - Saturday only
  • and 50 km - Saturday only 
  • a short and fun family ride option around the mall

What is the route?

2023 route details to come soon. 

The Ride will go through Tsawwassen, Ladner, Delta, Surrey and White Rock over the 2-days. 

Is there a Bike mechanic to support the participants?

Yes, Dunbar Cycles provides bike mechanical assistance to all riders.

What if I get injured or sick?

We have trained medical staff available on hand at all times.

What are the safety measures for riders during the route?

There will be a lead cyclist positioned at the front of the ride as well as the middle and end. At no point should you pass the lead cyclist.

In addition, we have an official vehicle or cyclist at the back of the event.

Please ride with caution. No personal support vehicles are permitted on the course.

Do I need to bring a sleeping bag and towel?

Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, toiletries etc. For more details, connect with us.

What if I don't raise the minimum by event day?

If you aren't able to make the minimum fundraising( but we know you can) we will ask that you provide a credit card number. 

You do have until September 1, 2023, to fundraise the remaining amount. After that, we will contact you and charge the remaining amount to the card provided.

​Can we fundraise as a team?

YES. We can average the fundraising upon request, so long as the team has raised the equivalent of $850/$700 average per person. 

For example, a team of 4 must raise a minimum of $3,400 to participate.
