Geoff Wolinetz's Personal Plea for Donations For Bowling For Breast Cancer, So That He Doesn't Look Bad To His Co-Workers And It's A Really Good Cause
Here's an update:
Target fundraising goal: EXCEEDED!
Cancer: not yet cured
Dad jokes: on point
Thanks to the extreme generosity of my network, I've exceeded my fundraising goal and did it in fairly short order. I love an appreciate all of you. Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness. For those of you visiting this page because I've now posted it for a third time, welcome. If you could consider chipping in a few shekels, we'd all be extremely grateful for your help. Here's the new offer:
If we get to $1,250 - that's about $500 from where we are right now - I will have my daughter style my hair with pink hair chalk for the event.
Geoff? Pink hair streaks? Yes!
Here's the deal -- Breast cancer kills a lot* of people every year. Since I'm not a physician generally or an oncologist specifically or even a mammographer for that matter, the very least that I can do is help raise money for the research being done every day to help find a cure for this horrific disease that's impacted both my loved ones and yours. And if I can do so by bowling and potentially tearing a rotator cuff, all the better. Because if I tear a rotator cuff and get surgery, the hospitals get money and some of that money will go to researching this and that's a cycle that we can all be proud of.
So please give what you can and do it in my name, so I'm not the laughing stock of Freewheel. You see, Freewheel as an organization has raised over $50,000 in the last 3 years as part of Bowling for Breast Cancer.
Tell your friends.
We can do this, folks. Together.
