Imagine the fear Mathilda and Merlin had when the shipping container that was their home was moved, exposing them to a busy workyard...Thankfully, compassionate workers scooped these terrifed babies up and brought them to the Kelowna BC SPCA where it was discovered that they were extremely sick with feline calcivirus (FCV), which cases cysts in the face area. For little Mathilda, these cysts formed in her eyes and ended up bursting, leaving her blind. Both Mathilda and Merlin were initially nervous, but once they entered their foster home these two began to blossom.Merlin is Mathilda's guidekitten, keeping her from danger. And Mathilda, who loves exploring, pushes Merlin to try new things. These babies got their second chance because of the love and generosity of animal-lovers like you. Who will you give a second chance to?
