The alignment of KPMG's commitment and resources with First Book’s national reach and local impact has garnered widespread acclaim and raised funds and awareness for the cause of literacy. KPMG's Family for Literacy has made it possible for local schools and programs to obtain new books for the children they serve. To date, the generous people of KPMG, along with their families and friends, have contributed nearly 30,000 hours in volunteer support to First Book and our network of Recipient Groups.
Every $10.00 you give provides four new books for a child in need.Your tax-deductible online contributions make it possible for local First Book Recipient Groups to obtain books through the First Book Marketplace. This award-winning online bookstore offers new children’s books at deeply discounted prices only to programs and schools serving children in low-income communities.

$100 can provide 40 books to provide tutoring material to a child and mentor for an entire year.
$250 can provide 100 books to place a stack of books on every desk in a classroom.
$500 can provide 200 books fill backpacks for 50 children in a community-based program.
$1,000 can provide 400 books to start home libraries for a neighborhood of low-income families.
