Your Fund Page: Your Fund Page:

The Virtual Book Drive name will be the title of your page. Using a descriptive label (such as Xavier's 3rd Birthday or Mrs. Smith's Campaign To Ensure Books for Every Child) will help people find your page when they search for it. Note that you can edit this name later from the Champion Center.

Your story will be featured on your Virtual Book Drive. Tell a compelling story about why you are creating a Virtual Book Drive and why people should support it. The best stories encourage your donors to support giving books to kids in need. You can make changes or add more to this story later in the Champion Center.

Frequently asked questions about First Book and our mission:
* First Book (www.firstbook.org) has distributed more than 90 million books to programs and schools serving children from low-income families throughout the United States and Canada. By making new, high-quality books available on an ongoing basis, First Book is transforming the lives of children in need and the elevating the quality of education.

* 42% of children in the United States — more than 30 million — live in low-income households. The majority of the poorest kids have no age-appropriate books at home, and the classrooms and programs they attend are woefully under-resourced. For every one book or other reading resource available to a child in a low-income neighborhood, a child of means has nearly 300.

$5,000 = 2,000 new books
$2,500 = 1,000 new books
$1,000 = 400 new books
$500 = 200 new books
$100 = 80 new books (the minimum goal we ask that you set)

Suggested Goal: $200.00

A Virtual Book Drive page that is private does not display in search results. Only those people to whom you send a link or know the URL of your page will be able to view your fund page if you mark it private. First Book frequently drives individuals to Virtual Book Drives and will only be able to do so if you do NOT make your page private.
