Covid-19-Plasma-bag_icon

Right now, scientists at Canadian Blood Services — and around the world — are racing to find a safe and effective treatment for COVID-19 and working to gain further insight into how this virus is spreading.

They are exploring whether plasma (the straw-coloured part of your blood that supports your immune system) from those who have fully recovered from COVID-19, called convalescent plasma, is the key to treating and helping others recover from the virus as well.

There’s not enough evidence yet, but with your support today for ground-breaking research like this, you can help us discover if convalescent plasma is an effective treatment for COVID-19.

Thank you for making a lifesaving difference for patients.
