CYCLONE IDAI AND FLOODS CAUSE MASSIVE DESTRUCTION
– 6 months later, survivors still need your help
In early March 2019, countries in southern Africa were hit by what is possibly the deadliest cyclone ever recorded in the region. Cyclone Idai caused over 750 deaths and affected more than 2.1 million people.
In the immediate aftermath of Cyclone Idai, the generous support of CARE donors provided life-saving assistance to families in need including tents, food supplies, clean water and hygiene kits.
Six months on and families in Malawi, Mozambique and Zimbabwe still have a long road ahead to recover from the devastation of the cyclone. Donor support has made an incredible difference so far, and we hope you will make a life-saving gift today to support the ongoing recovery efforts.
