RUN4ACAUSE & CARE Canada have joined forces by participating in the 4th consecutive Walk In Her Shoes relay event on Sunday March 9th, 2014. Supporting women and girls on International Women's Day

Our team  will be participating and running the final 10km & Leg 8 of the relay with a bunch of awesome people and are raising awareness and much needed funds to empower women and girls around the world to fight global poverty.  

In the poorest communities around the world, women and girls are often the ones tasked to collect water, firewood or other basic necessities of life. They walk on average 6 kilometres a day (approximately 8,000 steps) while carrying the equivalent of a suitcase. This leaves little time to attend school, access health services or earn money to support their families, but you can help.

All donations will be leveraged by the Canadian Government 3:1. That means for every $1 - we actually raise $3.

The Walk In Her Shoes 103km relay run has 8 legs and supports 8 integral CARE projects around the globe… and here’s ours….

Project: CARE’s Tabora Adolescent and Safe Motherhood (TABASAM) project is working to safeguard women’s health during pregnancy, childhood, and through the immediate postnatal period.
