Walking for good #teamunicorn
Hi there reader - On February 27, I made a personal comittment to 100 days of walking. Moving everyday has helped get through the last year in many ways. We've all been on a strange emotional rollercoaster as we've moved through this stressful time. That #blursday effect has really been getting to me and once in a while an anniversary or special day would just sneak up on me. February 27th was one of those days, my Mother's birthday. I really miss her and that lingering grief was more managable before we entered this pandemic, and all the other reasons to grieve started piling up, so to speak.
Walking helps me move through my emotions to stay grateful and positive. I decided to use my walking to help others, too. I'll be donating $5 for every day that I walk. As I walk I'm thinking about all my LGBTQ Elders, especially those aging with HIV. Vast unanticipated challenges exist for people aging with HIV and funding is desperately needed. Will you consider donating a full or partial match to my own commitment of $500 dollars? That's $5 for every day of my 100 days of walking. Even better, join my team, #teamunicorn, and help me reach others. Let's walk together. It's good for us and for those living and aging with HIV.
Thank you in advance for your support,
Sam
