The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has led an epidemiological study of IBD to understand IBD incidence, prevalence, demographics, and healthcare utilization. Since, 2006 CDC epidemiologists have been working in conjunction with CCFA.

Currently, Congress is considering providing funding for IBD research at the Department of Defense's Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program (PRMRP). The Peer-Reviewed Medical Research Program provides expanded research at the Department of Defense.

Support Restoring the Patient's Voice Act

HR 2077, Restoring the Patient's Voice Act, would help patients access medications in a timely manner by establishing circumstances in which a patient can be exempt from insurance plan step therapy protocols when medically appropriate.
