Tell the Senate: Hands off women's health care

Anti-choice politicians are gunning for the nation’s family planning program that serves millions of poor and low-income women, known as Title X. Tell the Senate in no uncertain terms: Safeguard essential family planning for those with the fewest means to afford it.

Safeguard essential family planning for those with the fewest means to afford it

Dear Senator,

Please vote no on H.J. Res 43, legislation to overturn the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services final rule that clarified and reinforced that qualified reproductive health care providers cannot be discriminated against in the Title X program. Allowing such discrimination prevents Title X patients from the opportunity to obtain high-quality family planning care from those best equipped to provide it.

Title X is the sole national program focused exclusively on providing vital family planning and preventive care, such as birth control, cancer screenings, and testing for sexually transmitted infections, as well as education and counseling. Providers use Title X funding to serve low-income, uninsured, and young people across the country, including those in rural and medically underserved areas.

Without Title X, four million clients - more than half of whom are women of color - would lose an irreplaceable source of reproductive health care.

Please vote no on H.J. Res 43.

Sincerely,
