UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation ("Foundation") and its supported organization, UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, collectively referred to herein as “Children’s”, are committed to providing visitors with an internet experience that respects and protects their personal privacy.

Your Privacy Rights as to Health Information

The Foundation’s website is linked to UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh’s website. UPMC Children's is committed to keeping your child or teen's health information private and confidential. Our Notice of Privacy Practices describes how we may use and/or disclose your child's health information and also identifies the patient rights under the federal privacy regulations (HIPAA).

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information

When you use our site, we collect anonymous information. Anonymous information is information about how a visitor uses our site (such as places visited and searches performed).

Anonymous information also includes the domain names and/or IP addresses of browsers that visit our site, time of day the site was visited, and other non-personally identifiable information.

Anonymous information is information that is not tied to any individual, but helps to characterize UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation visitors to improve our services.

The visitor's contact information is used to send additional information about UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation, important fundraising initiatives, event invitations and information, and is also used to get in touch with the visitor when necessary. For example, we might have a question about the processing of a donation. We do not request or store sensitive information from our visitors, such as credit card or social security numbers. We do not sell, share, or rent donor/visitor information to third-party organizations.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of children. The website is intended for adults and young people age 13 and over. It is not intended for or designed to attract persons under the age of 13. We do not permit registration by, nor do we collect personally identifiable information from, any person we actually know to be under the age of 13.

All information provided to UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption.
