Molecular oncology initiative
Advances in technology have created an explosion of data that can be used to personalize cancer treatment. Our multidisciplinary Molecular Oncology and Bioinformatics Program will enable caregivers to analyze each patient's tumor at the most basic level of DNA and RNA and perform an in-depth analysis of the data to provide a comprehensive molecular profile.

Fellowship Program
Lurie Children's remains committed to supporting and training the next generation of academic-minded pediatric cancer specialists through our three-year, accredited fellowship program. The first two years consist of hands-on clinical training. The third year of the fellowship is devoted to a year-long research project of their choosing with guidance from our faculty.

Each year, approximately 250 newly-diagnosed cancer patients seek the expertise of Lurie Children's nationally-ranked Division of Hematology, Oncology, Neuro-Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation. Part of our commitment involves advancements in treatment and therapies with the potential to save children's lives. Our clinical research team ensures each patient has access to, and are enrolled in, the newest clinical trials.
