Taylor's Tribe
Our story:
It’s been almost one year since Taylor was diagnosed with Charcot Marie Tooth Disease (CMT-1A). We are happy to report she is thriving and has not showed any new signs of the disease.
She’s working hard in her weekly physical therapy.
In April 2024, our family is excited to walk in our first Walk4CMT. This walk will take place in San Diego. Unfortunately, there are no Bay Area walks currently. I know if there were, many of our family and friends would walk with us in support of Taylor and the CMT community. Maybe next year, I will be ready to take on hosting a walk.
The CMT community has grown to be very important to our family. We have met countless people who have been so supportive and helpful as we navigated Taylor’s diagnosis this past year. Since CMT is rare, there isn’t the funding and awareness like some other diseases, so this community needs our help.
Please consider donating to our Walk4CMT team this year and help bring awareness and support to this amazing CMT community. As we know it takes a village, so we will be walking and representing Taylor’s Tribe.

We are excited to participate in Walk 4 CMT to raise money for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA). The CMTA is a 501c3 non-profit working with world-class partners to advance treatment-oriented research through STAR (Strategy to Accelerate Research).
To people with CMT, STAR research for a cure means regaining feeling in the extremities, walking without tripping, buttoning shirts, and easily picking up change off a flat surface. STAR is synonymous with stopping the progression of CMT and living a life without limitations.
STAR is hope for a future without CMT.
