I am incredibly grateful for you - one of the many friends and family who have cheered me on and supported my efforts to find a cure for CMT for the past 8+ years!
As the volunteer leader of the Bucks County Branch of the CMTA, I am co-hosting and participating in the 4th Annual Cycle & Walk 4 CMT to raise money for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA). The CMTA is a 501c3 non-profit working with world-class partners to advance treatment-oriented research through STAR (Strategy to Accelerate Research).
To people with CMT, STAR research for a cure means regaining feeling in the extremities, walking without tripping, and effortlessly crossing the sandy beach to reach the ocean. Recent advances and current clinical trials now offer realistic hope for stopping the progression of my CMT (Type 1A) and for future generations to live a life free of physical limitations. My participation in research studies at the CMT Center of Excellence at Univ. of Pennsylvania means that access to a treatment could be made available to me very soon, but your help is still very much needed.
STAR means there is hope for a future without CMT.
Please help make a difference in the lives of those living with CMT, like me.
Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal!
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity.
