Welcome to My Personal "Walk n Roll 4 CMT" fundraising page
Thanks in advance for supporting me and CMTA/STAR research for CMT!
This Sept. 14 will be the 4th year I am participating in the Cycle/Walk 4 CMT event to raise money for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA).
The CMTA is a 501c3 non-profit working with world-class partners to advance treatment-oriented research through STAR (Strategy to Accelerate Research). STAR is hope for a future without CMT.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) is a disease that I have and is of the peripheral nerves that control muscles that can cause progressive loss of function and sensation in the hands, arms, legs, and feet. CMT is a form of inherited peripheral neuropathy. 1 out of every 2500 people have it. This disease did not hit me until I was in my 60’s but I am the exception to the rule as many children and younger people are affected by this cruel disease. For that reason, I cycle 4 CMT.
Again, this year to raise funds for CMTA/STAR research for treatments and a cure I will be cycling with a group of fellow CMTers and supporters on the Maritime Trail from the Lighthouse Inn, Two Rivers to Manitowoc, WI and back, 12miles, on Sept 14th at 10am, We call it the "Walk n Roll 4 CMT". All are welcome to join in and all modes of mobility are welcome as the trail is paved.
Please help by sponsoring me in this event and help make a difference in the lives of those living with CMT and for the generations to come. Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal. You can feel confident that your donation will go to research for treatments and a cure as CMTA/STAR has the highest rating given to a nonprofit by Charity Navigator. Thank you in advance for your generosity,
