Andrew Levine's Cycle 4 CMT Page
This is my 3rd year participating in the Cycle 4 CMT fundraiser. Last year, with your help, we were able to give over $3,000 to the cause.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) is a hereditary progressive motor and sensory neuropathy of the peripheral nervous system. As my CMT progresses, I have more and more trouble walking and standing, and have advancing numbness in my feet. Despite these difficulties, I'm still able to ride my bikes quite well, and do so almost daily. It's likely that some of my three children have inherited CMT from me.
On September 22, I am participating in the Cycle 4 CMT event to raise money for the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association (CMTA). The CMTA is a 501c3 non-profit working with world-class partners to advance treatment-oriented research through STAR (Strategy to Accelerate Research).
To people with CMT, STAR research for a cure means regaining feeling in the extremities and walking without tripping, among other daily quality of life improvements. STAR is synonymous with stopping the progression of CMT and living a life free of limitations.
STAR is hope for a future without CMT. Please help make a difference in the lives of those living with CMT and for our generations to come.
Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal.
Thank you in advance for your generosity.
