I’m excited to share that I’ll be participating again in the Boston Cycle & Walk 4 CMT on September 29, and I’d love your support. This event is part of the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association’s (CMTA) effort to raise funds for critical research aimed at finding a cure, and it’s a cause that’s very close to my heart.
As many of you know, Dustin was diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) disease in 2021. Since then, we’ve participated in this event every year to support the fight against this progressive neurological disorder, which causes muscle weakness, loss of sensation, and other challenges. While there’s no treatment available yet, the CMTA’s STAR initiative is working to change that by funding cutting-edge research.
This year, our team’s fundraising goal is $10,000, and the first $5,000 raised will be matched by a generous donor. Every donation, big or small, will have twice the impact, and I’m asking for your help to reach this goal.
For those of you in the Boston area, I’d love to invite you to join us for the event. We’ll be starting at the Lexington Visitors Center at 9AM on Sunday, September 29, with options for a 1-mile walk or 4, 8, 20, and 30-mile rides. It’s a great opportunity to support the CMTA, spend time outdoors, and make a difference together. If you’d like to walk or ride with us, just let me know or sign up using the link above!
Thank you so much for your support and generosity! I’ll keep you updated on our progress, and if you have any questions about the event, the CMTA, or how you can get involved, feel free to reach out.
Together, we can help move closer to a world without CMT!
