Matt Crowe's Story
On June 23, 2018 my life was forever changed when I suffered a spinal cord injury in a mountain biking accident. After emergency surgery and 8 days in the surgical ICU, I was accepted to Craig Hospital for Brain and Spine Rehabilitation. Craig Hospital is a very special place where patients and their families take on the new monumental challenges ahead.
The main purpose of Craig Hospital is to enable and empower patients, helping them regain independence and reintegrate into their communities. This is never an easy task as each patient is unique and requires specific assistance, such as home modifications, mobility assistance and return to work integration.
That is why I am riding for the Craig Hospital Foundation in the Pedal4Possible. I am asking for your support. Every dollar that Team Inspire raises helps someone move around their home again, go back to work, or perform simple tasks that most of us take for granted every day.
“You have to start somewhere” is the reality for anyone beginning a new journey. I would love to have you partner with me in empowering patients at Craig. Please join me by making a donation and/or registering to participate!
We are also looking for participation from friends and family in all 50 states! You can take a walk, go for a hike, or bike wherever you live! Please spread the word!
