Chr. Hansen NA Sales Meeting 5k Run/Walk
On October 23, 2018, Mike Neu, senior VP of business development NA FC&E, Chr. Hansen, was involved in a tragic mountain biking accident which resulted in a spinal cord injury leaving Mike a quadriplegic. Mike received care and rehabilitation services at Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado. Mike has made miraculous progress with his positive attitude, hard work, determination and support of family, friends, co-workers, and a world-renowned team at Craig. We are honored to dedicate this year's NA sales meeting 5K run / walk to the patient assistance fund at Craig Hospital.
A catastrophic spinal cord or brain injury can be devastating—physically, emotionally, and financially. More than half of the patients that come to Craig annually need financial help to get them through their crisis. Patient Assistance Funds help patients acquire needed adaptive equipment, remodel homes for accessibility, train caregivers, make travel arrangements, access interpretation services, afford air ambulance to get to Craig and meet transitional financial emergencies despite limited insurance coverage or financial means.
