Running for Craig -- In Memory of Kathy Joyce
October 28, 2018 was a great day. Running in our Capitol, seeing so many friends and family along the way, being warmly reminded of the sacrifices the men and women of the United States Marine Corps have made for us all, and the thrill of completing a 26.2 mile race is something everyone should experience. It was definitely one of the most memorable days of my life.
On this Thanksgiving, I am particularly grateful for the most courageous person I have ever known, Kathy Joyce, my friends and family, the dedication of our country’s armed forces, and for the amazing things that Craig Hospital does to improve the lives of those suffering from spinal cord injuries.
Thank you all for the support during my training and race day, and for your generosity! I wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving, and please join me in extending a special thanks to the men and women of the United States Marine Corps that protect our freedom.
