Virtual - Playing Catch

Sheryl's Gems

Playing catch to raise awareness and funds to fight children’s cancer.

Join my team, Sheryl's Gems, - and others around the country - as we attempt to break the world record for the largest virtual game of catch!

The Potter Baseball Tour is partnering with organizations and individuals all over the country for this once in a lifetime event. Along with having an incredibly memorable time with members of your community, you will be supporting CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a non-profit organization changing the drug development landscape from within and accelerating the development of safe, effective treatments for the 47 children diagnosed with cancer each day.

When:  June 30, 2022, 7:00 to 7:10 PM ET

Where: GORC Park, Odenton, MD 21113.  If you can't come to Odenton, play in your backyard.

What: At exactly 7:00 P.M. EST, we will take a baseball/softball and throw it to a partner 10 feet away.  We will do this for 10 minutes to make our efforts official. When we are finished, we hopefully will have set a Virtual World Record as hundreds of other locations across the country join the fun.

Who: anyone, any age from toddlers to parents to grandparents!!!

Cost: We are asking for a donation of $10.00 for anyone 13 and over, and $5.00 for participants 12-under. The event benefits CureSearch for Children's Cancer and my fundraising for the CureSearch Superior Hike Trail Ultimate Hike. The money our team raises supports their mission to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research!

With your help, I can surpass my fundraising goal of $2500! Please, make a donation and make a difference in the lives of the 47 children diagnosed with cancer each day.

CureSearch Gold honors and celebrates children whose lives have been affected by children's cancer.

One out of 10 children with cancer will not survive. Please, support me as I participate in CureSearch Gold, and help change the odds for those children most at risk.
