Virtual - Playing Catch

Oil City Oilers

Enjoy a night out playing catch with friends and family!!

Join us and others around the country as we attempt to break the world record for the largest virtual game of catch!!

The Potter Baseball Tour is partnering with organizations and individuals all over the country for this once in a lifetime event.  Along with a fun night of catch, you will be supporting CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a non-profit organization changing the drug development landscape from within and accelerating the development of safe, effective treatments for the 47 children diagnosed with cancer each day.

When: June 30, 2022.  The equipment exchange will begin at 6:00.  The world record catch from 7:00-7:10.

Where:  Oil City High School, 10 Lynch Blvd, Oil City, PA 16301 on the softball and baseball fields.

What:  At exactly 7:00 pm we will all take a baseball/softball and throw it to a partner 10 feet away.  We will do this for 10 minutes to make our efforts official.  When we are done, we hopefully will have set a Virtual World Record as hundreds of other locations across the country join the fun.

We will also use this opportunity to give back to our community.  We ask that those participants that have cleats, mitts, helmets or other loved equipment in need of a good home, donate them for an on-site sport swap.  Those that are looking for gear can pick up what they need and the rest will be donated.

Who:  Anyone that is interested.

Cost:  We are asking for a donation of $10 for anyone 13 and over and $5 for participants 12-under.  The event benefits CureSearch for Children's Cancer and the money our team raises supports their mission to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research!!
