Mumzie's Ultimate Hike Page
Thanks for visiting my Ultimate Hike page!
I am doing it again! This will be my tenth Ultimate Hike and I'm so excited to be a part of it again. I can't believe it's been that long since I've been affiliated with this wonderful organization!
If you are here, you most likely know our story and why I hike. Wesley was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in March of 2011. He spent four years in hospitals, with doctors, doing physical therapy, living with cancer. He lived life to fullest. He was never beat down. He took his punches and punched back. When he passed away on March 3, 2015, we weren't ready for it. Can you ever be ready to lose your child? That is why I hike. With the hope that someday no other parent will have to be where we are. Missing our son every day.
Please, make a donation and make a difference in the lives of the 43 children diagnosed with cancer each day. You all have been so generous to us over the years. Please keep that momentum going. There will be more Wesley's this year. We need to think about them and keep his memory alive!!
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative children's cancer research, with measurable results. In addition, they are the authoritative source for information resources about children's cancer for families and their support systems.
Five of the 43 children diagnosed every day do not survive. Please, support me as I help change the odds for those children most at risk.
Thank you for helping me work tell children's cancer to take a hike!
