I am participating in a true ultimate challenge - hiking 21 miles on May 14 in Shenandoah Valley to raise funds for childhood cancer and with your help, I can surpass my fundraising goal! This year I am hiking in honor of Max Nova, my friend’s precious grandson who is 5 and battling Ewing’s sarcoma. I’m also hiking in memory of Caitlin Beverly who lost her battle to DIPG in 2015. Please make a donation and make a difference in the lives of the 17,000 children diagnosed with cancer each year.
The money I raise will support CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation whose mission is to fund and support targeted and innovative childhood cancer research, with measurable results. In addition, they are the authoritative source for information resources about pediatric cancer for families and their support systems.
One in ten children diagnosed with cancer do not survive and those who do, often suffer from lifelong side effects as a result of toxic treatments. Please support me as I help change the odds for the kids who are counting on us.
