Welcome to My Personal Page

During my third pregnancy, Tyler awoke to a sound and saw my on my floor next to the bed, in the midst of a seizure. After inconclusive testing, a MRI would be required. Since there is a risk of birth defects with an MRI, we decided, along with my medical team, that waiting out the pregnancy to do an MRI would be the best course of action. After 6 months of Medical driving restrictions (READ: housebound with a then not yet 3 and 2 year old) and the birth of Benjamin, we had the MRI. The results? A brain tumor. I feel like things went so quickly at this point that a bullet point timeline is the easiest but certainly does not truly express this experience, nor stage in our lives.

Dec 25, 2015 - Seizure
July 17, 2016 - Ben was born
August 16, 2016 - Tumor Diagnosis
September 15, 2016 - Crainiotomy
We felt covered in love by family, friends, church and God through it all. Since our children were go young and the tumor pathology came back non-aggressive grade 2, the decision was made to have regular MRIs to watch tumor and any changes in growth instead of jumping into some form of treatment (like Chemo). As of my most recent MRI (Jan 2019) the growth is remaining steady and as long as it doesn't ramp up, treatment will have be discussed, decided on and begin within the next 2 years. My next MRI is in May.

It has been ..... a journey. There are good days. There are bad. There are struggles. There are victories. But There is also a never changing, forever loving, always there God that comforts.
