As most of you know, our family has been directly impacted by brain cancer. On November 15, 2018, my father (Don Lacefield), was diagnosed with Stage 4 glioblastoma at the age of 66. We feel so fortunate to have the great nurses and doctors at the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke caring for my father. The care he has received has been incredible, there is still much work to be done to better understand the most effective way to treat glioblastoma.
Please join Team DonDon on Saturday, April 27 as we raise funds to help the great team at the Tisch Brain Tumor Center continue their groundbreaking research into this insidious cancer. There is a 5k and a walk through Duke Gardens, along with a silent auction and activities for children. If you are unable to walk or run with us, any level of support will be greatly appreciated. We thank you for your support of this cause and your continued prayers.
