Event Information

Divisions

• League Division: The League Division is for those who play in a league and are looking for lighter competition, and is open to men and women age 21 or older. You can have up to 6 players on a team, but only 4 players on the ice at a time. Each team is guaranteed three round-robin games (weather permitting), and the opportunity to qualify for the medal round.


• Pond Division: The Pond Division is strictly for recreational players who have no formal league or school experience. The Pond Division is open to men and women 21 and older. You can have up to 6 players on a team, but only 4 players on the ice at one time. Each team is guaranteed three round-robin games (weather permitting), and the opportunity to qualify for the medal round.


• 50+ Division: The 50+ Division is for men and women age 50 and older (born February 8, 1970 or earlier). You can have up to 6 players on a team, but only 4 players on the ice at one time. Each team is guaranteed three round-robin games (weather permitting), and the opportunity to qualify for the medal round.

*Depending on the number of teams that sign-up for the Pond and 50+ Divisions, consolidations of divisions may need to occur. Every effort will be made to place teams in appropriate groupings based on your team level of play. We will make those final determinations based on your responses on the registration form, and in consultation with your team captain.

Friday

• 4:00pm - 8:00pm Tournament check-in at Lake Morey Resort

Saturday

• 8:00am - 8:15am Team captain meeting
• 8:30am - 4:30pm Game time!
• 6:00pm - 9:00pm Tournament dinner in support of Norris Cotton Cancer Center
• 8:00pm - 11:00pm Live entertainment

Sunday

• 8:30am Game time!
• 2:00pm Championship game
• 2:45pm Award Ceremony

Volunteers

We cannot pull off a successful, fun and exciting event without the help of our volunteers. We’ll need scorekeepers/referees (no experience necessary, training provided). All volunteers will be provided a warm meal while working, as well as disposable glove and boot warmers and grippers for shoes while out on the ice. Sign up to volunteer here.

Spectators

Join us as a spectator for Put Cancer on Ice, a Lake Morey Resort Pond Hockey Tournament in support of Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center! There is no fee for spectators, but donations will be accepted.
