It has been a crazy year! Last September my parents were on vacation down in Florida. As soon as they got there, my father Bruce got sick. While in the hospital down there, our worst fear was confirmed and he was diagnosed with AML a form of Leukemia. His health quickly started deteriorating and we weren’t sure he would even be stable enough to fly home. After returning home and being admitted to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon, that is where his battle began.
Dad was not given a very good prognosis and we were all preparing for the worst. We didn’t think he would make it to Halloween. But he did. We weren’t sure he would be with us for Thanksgiving. But he was. He got stronger. He fought harder. We started making plans for the future again.
My Dad was told he only had months to live. He is now in remission. With the help of new medications, an AMAZING medical staff at the Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Manchester, and the love and support from family and friends, my Dad is still here with us. Still creating memories with his grand children. Please help me raise money to help fight this awful disease and maybe help other families out there that are going through the same thing! Thank you in advance!
